What to bring to a mortgage conversation

A few details that can make a first conversation more useful.

You do not need every answer before reaching out. It helps to know what you hope to do, roughly when you want to do it, and what questions you have.

Start with the plan

Write down your target timing, the type of property you are considering, and a comfortable monthly payment range. If you are purchasing, note your down-payment plan and whether you have an accepted offer.

Gather the basics

Be ready to discuss income, employment or business details, existing monthly debts, and any current mortgage. Specific documents can be identified once we understand your circumstances.

Bring your questions

Ask about the process, possible costs, what may change before closing, and any term you would like explained in plain language.
